Position: Control Systems Engineer
Location: London SW14 (3 days in office + 2 days at home)

The Job: Whilst the role will encompass projects across a portfolio of clients, the immediate requirement will be focusing on an innovative SCADA solution using open-source technology for a infrastructure upgrade project. This role offers a unique opportunity to work through the full project lifecycle, from design to delivery. As a Control Systems Engineer your duties will include creating user specifications, developing test procedures, programming PLC software, and conducting on-site testing. You will also generate and maintain comprehensive project technical documentation, ensuring all details are recorded. Additionally, you will conduct site commissioning and design, build, and document test systems. Implementing controlled assurance updates to defined procedures will also be a key part of your responsibilities.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience (Essential): To be successful in this role, you should have proficiency in HMI & SCADA systems and a comprehensive knowledge of the full PLC software design and build lifecycle, including adherence to international standards. Experience with control system hardware platforms such as Siemens, Allen Bradley, Rockwell or ABB (or similar) is essential.
Preferred: Ideally you will have a controls, mechatronics, electrical/electronic or software related qualification. While not essential, experience working under CDM regulations, an understanding of electrical schematics and panel drawings, and knowledge of OT Cybersecurity standards such as IEC-62443 would be advantageous. Experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Process, or Gas Compression sectors is also preferred.
