Belcan Workforce Solutions is currently looking for a Installation & Commissioning Engineer to work for one of our clients based in Winnersh, Reading, UK.

You will require 'Right to Work' in UK, unfortunately no sponsorship will be available for this role.

Reporting directly to the Project Manager, the ICA/Commissioning Engineer will support the Project Manager in all aspects of installation & Commissioning including collating survey information.

The ICA/Commissioning Engineer must ensure that all works are completed to the clients required asset standards to time, cost and quality.

Main Responsibilites

Manages all aspects of installation & Commissioning activities as per the project methodology for a telemetry upgrade programme using system experience and knowledge;

This includes, site surveys, commissioning of panels and routers onto a ClearSCADA System, end to end testing, communication line upgrades.

Knowledge of different SCADA communication channel set up is preferable, such as (Or similar to) Micrologix, BBL and Rockwell PLC set ups.

Respond to requests on progress and to all requests from Project Manager and client.

Liaise with Client and Project Manager regarding site works, H & S Issues, preparation works.

Complete quality checks of work to ensure required standards are met.

Monitor and report progress against plan, highlighting any delays to the Project Manager in order to mitigate and manage change in the project delivery.

Manage and monitor selection, requisition of materials ensuring Project Manager provides authority on procurements of goods/services required for project delivery.

Provide technical support and knowledge to other team members.

Complete handover documentation within the required timescales.

Complete required Health & Safety actions on a site by site basis, recording and reporting on our UK Systems (Active).

Experience of the water industry or other utilities is preferable but not essential.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Instrumentation and telemetry
  • Previous experience in Installation & Commissioning, Electrical
  • Completed a similar role previously
  • HNC or NVQ Lvl 3 in Electrical field
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Happy to work on own Initiative and as part of a team
  • Computer Literate - all MS Office Software
  • Attention to detail/Quality
  • Highly personable
  • Assertive and confident
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality
  • Integrity
