Belcan Workforce Solutions are seeking a Satellite AIT Electrical Systems Engineer on a 12-month contract to join our client's Defence & Space team in Stevenage.

They are offering up to £55.00 per hour Umbrella. Inside IR35. The role is a site-based role.

About the Role:
Join our client's dynamic team as a Satellite AIT Electrical Systems Engineer! This contract position offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge satellite systems. You will be responsible for preparing, debugging, and executing complex test sequences on flight spacecraft and test benches. Your role will involve providing first-line support to the test operations team, writing test reports, and supporting test reviews.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret electrical and functional test requirements from test specifications.
  • Develop and debug Automatic Test Procedures (ATP) using high-level software languages.
  • Provide technical support during test operations and non-conformance reviews.
  • Execute spacecraft system investigations and support environmental tests.

Skills and Experience:

  • Hands-on experience with spacecraft test sequences and scripting.
  • Knowledge of spacecraft systems and subsystems.
  • Proficiency in programming and scripting languages (e.g., Elisa, JAVA, Linux/Unix bash scripts).
  • Familiarity with electrical measurement equipment and cleanroom disciplines.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in spacecraft or avionic system engineering and complex electronic systems testing.
