We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Administrator to join our team and play a crucial role in a multi-million-pound Project. As a key member of the team, you will have the opportunity to provide substantial project planning and administrative support, ensuring the success of this groundbreaking initiative.

This position is offered on a 6-12 month contract basis Inside of IR35. The role would be site based in the West Midlands area.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Support the Project Manager by overseeing delegated tasks, including arranging meetings, setting agendas, and ensuring efficient project documentation circulation.
  • Manage project budgets and change management processes, update project plans, and prepare detailed project reports.
  • Cultivate and maintain partner relationships, facilitating effective communication and collaboration with internal and external teams.
  • Drive project processes such as procurement, recruitment, and information sharing with third parties, ensuring compliance with timelines and objectives.
  • Develop new technical partner relationships to enhance collaborative efforts.
  • Uphold rigorous reporting standards, including auditing, steering, governance, and compliance with timelines, budget, and objectives.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required:

Experience:

  • Proven experience in project management support.
  • Successful track record of building relationships with diverse partners and customers.
  • Proficiency in using IT systems for project management.
  • Previous experience in project coordination, preferably in an HE environment or collaboration with industrial and public sector partners.

Skills:

  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills, with the ability to engage at a senior level.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, maintaining confidentiality, and dealing with stakeholders professionally.
  • Initiative, multitasking abilities, and the capacity to meet tight deadlines.
  • Independent and team-oriented work approach.
  • Flexible and adaptable to evolving responsibilities.
  • General knowledge of research-funded project delivery and understanding of research funding regulations.

Personal Profile:

Essential:

  • Degree level education (2.1 or equivalent).
  • Excellent team player.
  • Self-motivated with strong task management and adaptability.
  • Demonstrates moral courage, openness, and honesty in all situations.

The hourly rate for this will reflect the scope and significance of the client in their sector.
